Performing Arts With Purpose
THE
ALTERNATiVE
I truly believe that the performing arts is a healthy and rewarding way of self expression. We are able to worship God in every form of the performing arts; from dancing, singing, the playing of instruments, and drama. I can say that I've certainly lived according to this statement. I've been dancing since the age of three and I've had the opportunity to have extensive, technical dance training up into my adult years. I danced throughout my college years at NC State University and upon graduation from college, I was an entertainer at Walt Disney World. Since then, I've been instructing dance to children and youth of all ages. It’s my joy and privilege to spread happiness, fun and training through dance. My job and goal is to share what God has given to me with others so that every person in the world of every race, gender, age, and socioeconomic group will know that there is a God who loves them more than they will ever understand.

Steps To Creative Purpose
RECOGNIZE
Recognize The Potential. Help students to recognize who God is and what He has done and continues to do for us through Jesus Christ. Encourage them to explore different forms of the performing arts and recognize the areas in which they have an interest and excel. Students begin with foundational teaching in their area(s) of study.
PREPARE
Prepare For Greatness! Help students to understand that God has prepared a perfect place called heaven for all of His children and that we should be living a preparatory lifestyle for this perfect place. Teach students the importance of preparation and hard work as they begin to enter more intensive training in areas of study. Students begin to build upon their foundational training and take part in more performance opportunities.
REPRESENT
Represent The Team. Help students understand that we are all made in God’s image and we are to represent Him. We should choose to do what is right and be an example to others of how Jesus desires for us to live. Students take on more intensive training and perfect and refine their skills as they increase their performance opportunities
DECLARE
Declare The Goodness! Encourage students to pursue God and be completely solid in their faith. Focus on making leaders out of students so that they can grow, influence, and teach others. Students have acquired a professional level of skill and knowledge in their craft. They begin to explore career and education opportunities in their area of expertise
